A desire to experience acute care and provide excellent patient care Department Description: The Orthopedics/Neurology/Surgical (ONS) Unit will be located in a brand new patient tower with state of the art technology. The patient population includes those with bone injuries, elective joint replacements, and trauma patients with orthopedic and other injuries. ONS also cares for general surgical patients including abdominal surgery, lung surgery, ear/nose/throat surgery, weight control surgery, and genitourinary surgery. Patients who have had brain or spine surgery, stroke patients, head injury patients, seizure patients, and patients with other neurological diagnoses may also be cared for in the unit. Work Hours: Varied – 24-hour continuum of care in an acute care setting. 12-hour day or night shifts. Initially works 50% of weekends as a new employee. Holiday rotation is every other holiday. Work schedule customized with unit longevity.
