Web Designer (Mid-level)

Overview

Position Summary Responsible for production and implementation of the latest industry design concepts for company web properties and digital marketing campaigns while utilizing the latest SEO recommendations and practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts. • Work within design team to create assets and new designs for internal websites • Assist in programming Wordpress templates based on design guidelines • Help create email marketing design assets and templates • Optimize and improve functionality of existing internal websites Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Proven working experience in digital marketing • Proficient in HTML and HTML 5, CSS and CSS Media Queries • Experience with JavaScript, Frontend Frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundations • Custom Wordpress development including experience with Custom Post Types, WP Query, Advanced custom Fields, PHP • Experience with CSS preprocessing languages as well as Git and Github • Utilize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques • Highly creative with the ability to conceptualize and provide original ideas • Strong sense of design composition and typography • Experience designing with a Responsive, Mobile First approach • Intuitive understanding of what makes a truly great interactive experience • Ability to collaborate and receive creative direction • Aware of industry trends and marketing opportunities in social media • Ability to work with others Education and Experience • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art or related field required. • 2+ years of related work experience required. • 2+ Experience with Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, FTP Clients, Wordpress (including basic understanding of PHP), Visual Composer and/or SEO tools strongly preferred. • 2+ years experience with CSS and HTML • Strong portfolio of work
