Overview
Location: Rusk State Hospital 805 N Dickinson Dr, Rusk, TX 75785 Open Shifts: - LVNs – 2 available positions on each shift - Evenings (1:45p-10:15p) - Nights (9:45p-6:15a) - Double Weekends (5:45a-10:15p or 1:45p-6:15a) - All shifts include a 30 min unpaid lunch break - 40 hours/week - Every other weekend required Minimum qualifications/requirements for all candidates: - Must be licensed by the state of Texas through the Nurse Licensure Compact (RN or LVN/LPN) - Complete immunization record, which meet HHSC requirements - American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification and Heimlich - Ability to physically be trained on and conduct Treatment Intervention and Preventative Strategies (TIPS) - Ability to pass HHSC required fingerprinting - Preferably at least one year experience as a direct care nurse Duties of Licensed Vocational Nurses: - Performs routine patient care in order to assist in providing quality psychiatric services - Administers medications as ordered and maintains medication administration and controlled drug records - Oversees the work of subordinate personnel in performance of duties assigned by a registered nurse. - Shares responsibility for the daily supervision, care, training, and general welfare of patients, and includes recording information on progress notes and other required forms for communicating with other staff regarding patients.

- Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
