Overview

Summary: This position is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, and families; and supervising assigned team members. Reports to Central Region IC Manager. Will provide coverage as needed to IC locations in Middle TN. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Provide floating coverage to IC locations in Middle TN. • Performs analysis of patient data including status of lab work, patient assessments; reports changes to referring physician; makes recommendations for patient care; performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, provides patient education; participates in clinic quality improvement process. Conducts individualized patient assessments, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by client facility’s policies, procedures or protocols. • Administers medications, infusion therapy, and other appropriate treatments per prescriber orders, and under the supervision of the clinic midlevel provider. • Documents, verifies and ensures implementation of physician orders, accurate and timely clinical documentation. Documents patient assessment findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution. • Delivers care with appropriate age and cultural competence to specific patient populations according to individualized needs. Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and client facility staff. Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient’s and family’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights. • Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate degree in Nursing and current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice. • Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience providing nursing care required. Infusion experience required; Telephone, MS Office and computer/keyboard skills required.   • Associate degree or higher
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) in Tennessee (TN)
  • Is your degree in Nursing?
  • 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Providing Nursing Care
    • Infusion
