Licensed Vocational Nurse

Overview

Abilene State Supported Living Center currently has immediate needs for the following positions. - LVN/LPN 3 positions total - 2p-10p rotating shift + weekends We welcome all LVN/LPN profiles with the following requirements: - At least two years’ experience in nursing in an acute or long-term care setting - Must be able to commit to working a rotating schedule and be asked to work three weekends a month and have 2 days off during the week dependent upon scheduling. If they cannot do 3 weekends a month, every other weekend is an option. - Each candidate will need to commit to a 6-month contract - Each candidate will need to have an American Heart Association CPR Card - MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST AND FBI BACKGROUND CHECK Each selected candidate must be ready to begin training on Monday, December 4, 2023 @ 0745 at the facility training department. Responsibilities: - Provide care for patients - Manage medication administration and treatments - Provide medication education and complete documentation. - Perform computer data entry – Receive full training - Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies - Specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, BSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
• Skilled Nursing Facility Care (2+ years)
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
  • American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
