Location: Lubbock State Supported Living Center 3401 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415 Current Open Shifts: (Subject to change) * Day Shift, M-F, 8a-5p Here is our Timeline for hiring: * Approximate start date week of 08/01/2022. * Minimum 3-month contract. * All compliance must be met before candidate can start. No exceptions. Duties of Agency nurse for RN 1. Administer medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection. 2. Perform technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations after demonstration for competency. 3. Document and reports pertinent observations. 5. Communicate orally and in writing to other team members’ pertinent information. Documents according to facility policy. 6. Respond to emergency situations to ensure safety of individuals. Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of facility. 7. Monitor individuals for treatments and procedures. 8. Collect specimens for laboratory examination and conducts appropriate screening tests (after competency is documented) when requested by lab personnel. 9. Provide education to individuals with specific health goals. 10. Assist other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments. 11. Ensure that supplies are available. 12. Manage individual’s medical record in Electronic Health Record or paper chart. 13. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location. Job Requirements for all candidates: * Must be licensed RN and able to practice in Texas * Preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse . Case Manager experience preferred. . Knowledge of nursing procedures and techniques and the principles and process used in providing patient care. . Ability to provide patient care and to prepare and maintain records, to communicate effectively and to train others. If your staffing agency does not provide the services requested or at the facility in need, no response is required. . Must be in Active status at agency. Other: * Regular rates apply for all positions * No extra time off will be available during the holiday season including Christmas, and New Year's. * Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification * Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months * COVID-19 testing with negative result required (we provide) * COVID-19 Vaccination Card if applicable. * Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (you provide) * Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (we provide)
