We are 900+ people strong and growing! You could play a key role supporting the Head Start Division! This position is expected to manage a caseload throughout San Fernando and Antelope Valley. Within a team environment, Mentor Coach will perform the following responsibilities: • Coaching & Mentoring (75%) • Implement Practice Based Coaching with assigned education staff through various methods such as group facilitation, one-on-one, or peer to peer. • Program Compliance (10%) • Remain proficient in the understanding and implementation of the Creative Curriculum for Infant, Toddlers and Two, Preschool and Family Child Care as well as Parents as Teachers (PAT) in support of curriculum fidelity to ensure the delivery of quality education services. • Reporting & Data Sharing (10%) • Submit monthly reports on coaching activities and progress to the Program Training Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Do you have 24 semester units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education?
- Do you have 3 years of teaching experience in a lead role with children ages 0-5, with knowledge of California Department of Education’s Desired Results Developmental Profile?
- Do you hold current Child Development Teaching permit(s) AND are willing to be trained and certified in related certifications (i.e., CLASS, Creative Curriculum Fidelity, Practice Based Coaching Model, etc.) within three months of start date?
- Are you comfortable with 25% of travel?
- Are you proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and video conferencing tools including Zoom and Microsoft Teams?
- Are you fully vaccinated from the COVID 19 virus?
- Do you have 1+ years experience in a Teacher Training/Supervisory role?
- Are you bilingual, if so please list all languages below?
