Overview

Need for Sr. Systems Engineer in Farmington, NM *remore or hybrid New Information: SolarWinds for the monitoring tool. Automation would be any scripting language. Skills we are looking for include Microsoft 365, VMware, Windows Server, Virtual Desktop using Horizon, Mobile Device Management in 365, Active Directory, and SQL would be a plus. PowerShell is also something that they need to be skilled in. Location: - ITWorks - San Juan Regional medical Center - 801 W Maple Street, Farmington, New Mexico, 87401 Scope of Services: - Perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability - Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization - Implement monitoring for applications and servers, and respond to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation - Manage changes and project activities, and communicate w stakeholders - Develop and deploy automation tools to optimize daily activities - Complete assigned incident management tasks - Deploy, setup, and maintain complex testing environments - Provide Tier III and other support per service request Additional Details: This role allows you to work with Microsoft 365, Mobile Device Management, Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Domain Naming Services, Power Shell, SQL Server, Virtualization, Server Operating Systems, Azure/Amazon Hosting services, Power Platform, Regulatory and Security. Basic Qualifications: - At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including: - At least 2 years System administration and/or system engineering work experience - At least 6 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including: - Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Software Engineering Start date: - August 11th - November 18th *potential for Perm offering Schedule: - Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (40 hours per week) **1-hour unpaid lunch **must be willing to work irregular hours occasionally Pay Rate: - $60/hr - room for negotiation ** Some Cerner positions may be obligated to comply with client-facing requirements and occupational health requests, including but not limited to, an immunization set, covid-19 vaccination, an annual flu shot, an annual TB screen, an updated background check, and/or an updated drug screen.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 6+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • computer engineering
    • computer science
    • information systems
    • software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • systems administration
    • systems engineering
