Overview

Our client is searching for a Director of Application Development, this is a permanent, fully remote role that will report the the VP of Application Development. In this role you will lead, evangelize and manage Turning Point's technology product vision through a team of internal and contract resources. Primary responsibilities for this role include delivering cutting edge applications and data ecosystems through staffing and organizing the optimal mix of talented developers and engineers to produce the vision created from the needs to business partners both internal and external. Provide roadmap to execute next generation modernization, they include cloud optimizations and microservice refactoring. You will also be responsible for maintaining and driving a modern Agile SCLC that includes multiple CI/CD build and release systems. In this role you will coordinate personnel in a manner that inspires accountability to the team vision, create avenues for training and career development, manage performance and compensation. Additionally, you will prioritize projects, estimate completion and allocate resources to achieve goals; collaborate with executives to identify and execute scalable solutions on schedule, under budget and within scope; and proactively assess department needs, identify and mitigate risks, and develop software that provides maximum company value while maximizing resource efficiency. Technical skills required for a successful engagement include 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large scale software projects; experience managing multiple development teams; and 5+ years leading technical teams and projects in an agile environment.
