RN - Neuro ICU Nights

Overview

What you need to know: - 13 week assignment minimum (open to extension) - NIGHT shift 730pm - 7am - Three 12’s every other weekend schedule - Neuro ICU experience required - Patient Ratio 1:2 - Must be flexible with schedule - Will need to study online modules and pass a test to qualify for this position - Minimum 2 years of experience - 2799 W. Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202 Job Duties: - Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care - Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family - Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team - Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions Job Skills: - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel Education: 1. BSN preferred 2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing 3. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans 4. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services 5. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Certifications/Licenses Required: - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing - ALCS - AHA - BLS - AHA - NIHSS - RN

Qualifications

• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • ALCS in Michigan (MI)
  • RN in Michigan (MI)
  • BLS in Michigan (MI)
  • NIHSS in Michigan (MI)
• 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • ICU
  • Neuro
• Can you provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19?
