Overview

Please Note and advise all candidates of the following: - Waco Center for Youth is a psychiatric residential treatment facility. - We serve teenagers (ages 13 through 17) with emotional difficulties and/or behavioral problems. Current Open Shifts: (Subject to change) - License Vocational Nurse (LVN)– 3 available positions - 2 morning positions for 6:00am – 2:30pm (includes unpaid 30 min lunch break) - 1 evening positions for 2:00pm – 10:30pm (includes unpaid 30 min lunch break) - All three are Monday thru Friday positions. Duties of Agency Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN - Performs routine LVN work. - Prepares and administers medication - Transcribes physician’s orders - Performs focused care & treatment of clients - Documentation: patient behaviors, medication administration, condition changes and other changes - Maintains accountability of medication - Provides education to client and/or family - Other duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse, Chief Nurse Executive and or Assistant Nurse Executive. Job Requirements for all canidates: - Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and able to practice in the State of Texas. - Experience in responding to medical/psychiatric crises. - Direct client care experience, preferred. - Experience in providing care for the emotionally disturbed child or adolescent in an institutional setting, preferred. Here is our Timeline for hiring: - Qualified submissions welcome now through 12-01-22 - Approximate start dates: 10-17-22, 11-01-22, 11-16-22 or 12-01-22 - Minimum 6 month contract, possibly longer, as long as there are not performance issues. - All compliance must be met before candidate can start. No exceptions. Other: - Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification - Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (we provide) - COVID-19 Vaccination Card if applicable. - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (Facility provide) Pay Rate: - Negotiable - Baseline $30/hour Hiring Managers Interviewing Candidates: - Clarice & Whitney Don’t hesitate to contact us anytime for additional info.

• Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
