Urgent Demand for Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant Location: - Chula Vista, CA Schedule: - 8am-5pm - no nights no weekends. - Work from home (similar schedule) when school is out Salary: - $80/hour - potential for negotiation Are you passionate about providing patient service to K-12 students in a school setting? We offer true work/life balance - no overnights, no weekends, and consistent weekly hours. But what about when school is not in session? This role transitions to remote, work-from-home, telemedicine work! While in the K-12 School setting, your focus will be: - Sports Physicals - Mental Health and Wellness Checks - All equipment provided QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience - 1-2 Years' experience as a provider of medical services to children - Bachelor's degree. - Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis - Certification/Licensure Eligible for (State Working) certification as a Physician's Assistant OR Certified Nurse Practitioner or certification pending, as documented by temporary certificate Duties/Responsibilities - Perform well-child visits and/or sports physicals on pediatric and adolescent patients. - Perform hearing and vision screens - Administer vaccines - Able to supervise MA/CNA/LVNs. - Able to screen, diagnose, and treat mental health problems - Perform telemedicine visits - Able to perform TB tests, covid swabs, strep swabs, and point of care fingerstick screening (labs) Required Skills/Abilities - Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures - Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration - Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures - Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public - Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of the disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment - Skill in preparing and maintaining physical and electronic patient records. - Recent NPDB (Within the past 3 months) - Maintain an active NPI - Maintain an active medical license free from suspension and/or Medical Board Disciplinary actions. - DEA (Preferable) Physical Requirements - Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day - Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment - Work is normally performed in inside and outside environments at the different school districts - Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require OSHA training Travel - 35% company paid travel along with some remote work Benefits - Medical, dental, and vision benefits are offered with this position.

    • Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)
