Overview

The San Angelo State Supported Living Center is accepting submissions for the following position at our facility: LVN/LPN I Duties of Agency nurse Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection. Performs technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations after demonstration for competency 3. Documents and reports pertinent observations. 4. Communicates orally and in writing to other team members’ pertinent information. Documents according to facility policy. 5. Responds to emergency situations to ensure safety of individuals. Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of facility. 6. Monitors individuals for treatments and procedures. 7. Collects specimens for laboratory examination and conducts appropriate screening tests (after competency is documented) when requested by lab personnel. 8. Provides education to individuals with specific health goals. 9. LVN II assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments. 10. Ensures that supplies are available. 11. Manages individual’s medical record in Electronic Health Record or paper chart. 12. Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements for all candidates: - Licensed to practice as a licensed vocation nurse in the state of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact). - Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. - Demonstrated computer & electronic health record skills preferred. Here is our Timeline for hiring: Interviews now through within 2 days of submission. Hiring decisions on the spot. Approximate start date week of 11/1/2022, 11/16/2022, and 12/1/2022. Can be flexible with this. Minimum 6 month contract. Exceptions made for returning nurses. All compliance must be met before candidate can start. Current Open Shifts: (Subject to change) LVN/LPNs – 16 available positions 40-hours/week; An abundance of OT available Rotating Schedule Shifts- 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 7a-8:30p, 10p-6a. 6a-6p Other: Regular rates apply for all positions No extra time off will be available during the holiday season including Christmas, and New Year’s. Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months COVID-19 testing with negative result required (we provide) COVID-19 Vaccination Card if applicable. Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (facility provides)
