Overview
The San Angelo State Supported Living Center is accepting submissions for the following position at our facility: RN I Duties of Agency nurse - Administers medications, immunizations, and treatment and observes individuals for unusual symptoms and reactions. - Conducts physical assessments of individual health needs and implements appropriate action. - Implements and monitors case management service plans - Instructs and assists individuals in meeting their health care needs. - Prepares, maintains, and reviews individual records and individual assessments. - May participate in quality assurance reviews. - Complies with all State/Federal/Local standards; Facility Policy, ICF Standards, and Texas Nurse Practice Act. - Manages individual’s medical record (paper chart/EHR). - Attends work on a regular basis and maybe required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements for all candidates: - Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact). - One (1) year nursing experience preferred. - Demonstrated computer & electronic health record skills preferred. - Ability to effectively perform in a work group or team environment. Here is our Timeline for hiring: - Qualified submissions welcome now through 11/15/2022 - Interviews now through 10/31/2022 - Hiring decisions on or before 10/31/2022 - Approximate start date week of 10/24/2022, 10/31/2022, and 11/7/2022 - Minimum 6 month contract. Exceptions made for returning nurses. - All compliance must be met before candidate can start. Current Open Shifts: (Subject to change) - RNs – 7 available positions - 40-hours/week; OT available - Rotating Schedule - Shifts- 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a, 8p-8a, 8a-8p Other: - Regular rates apply for all positions - No extra time off will be available during the holiday season including Christmas, and New Year’s. - Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification - Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (we provide) - COVID-19 Vaccination Card if applicable. - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (Facility provides)
