Overview
What you need to know: - 13 week assignment minimum (open to extension) - DAY shift 7am - 7pm - Patient Ratio 1:4 - 1:6 but can vary - Three 12’s each week - Manager will call directly to interview within 72 hours - 2+ years of ED experience required - Level I trauma experience, will not consider Lvl II - Critical Care Skills and knowledge required Job Duties: - Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care - Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family - Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team - Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions Job Skills: - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel Education: 1. BSN preferred 2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing 3. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans 4. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services 5. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Certifications/Licenses Required: - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing - ALCS - AHA - BLS - AHA - RN - TNCC
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan (MI)
- Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
- Valid ALCS
