Overview
The San Angelo State Supported Living Center is accepting submissions for: Direct Care Professional/Certified Nursing Aides Duties may include: DSP/CNA duties: - Routine and emergency care, treatment and training for people with intellectual disabilities - Duties include grooming, bathing, feeding, observing and reporting individuals’ conditions and behaviors - Meaningful engagement through active treatment and behavioral support programs - Requires documentation on individual’s daily schedule as things occur - Work in a team environment - Training will be provided Job Requirements for all candidates: - DSP applicants - experience working in programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. - Certified Nurse Aide must hold a current permit including a current permit issued under Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 242, Subchapter N, Administration of Medication with experience working in programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Here is our Timeline for hiring: - Approximate start date week of 11/01/2022 - Minimum 8 week assignment. - All compliance must be met before candidate can start. Current Open Shifts: - 2pm to 10pm – 20 available positions (PREFERABLY) Other: - Regular CNA rates apply for all positions - Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification - Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (facility provides) - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (facility provides)
