Overview
Urgent need for RN **NEEDS pre-op experience or recent med-surg or tele surgical experience. We need someone who will be able to hit the ground running with little orientation to the role. They need to be able to start IV’s, and would prefer Meditech documentation experience and must have ACLS, BLS and PALS. Scope of Services: - pre-op and Pre-admission testing, if they can do PACU that would be great but not required Other staff on-site: - na Location: - South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital - 18600 Hardy Oak Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78258 Shift Schedule: - Monday thru Friday - varies between 5:30am - 4pm - 1 hour lunch break each day, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call Start date: Asap; 1 month contract, on-going till perm position is offered Patient volume: - na Candidate Turnaround Expectation: - 48 hours Pay Rate: - base $40/hr. negotiable Required skills and experience: - must be a registered nurse - 2yrs PreOp/PACU Experience - BLS prerequisite, ability to achieve ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and PALS certification within 60 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas (TX)
- Do you have 2 years of nursing experience required in ICU/Emergency Room/Recovery Room or other critical care-nursing environment

- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA PALS)
