Overview
Big Spring State Hospital LVN Need - 26 LVNs Licensed Vocational Nurse performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager. Requirements: - Must possess valid LVN license - Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements - Must submit to HHSC required drug test - Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting - Must complete facility and HHSC required training Responsibilities: - Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation. - Perform computer data entry – Receive full training - Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, BSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives. Requested Schedule: - Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs, evenings (2pm -10pm) and nights (10pm - 6am) are currently our greatest needs. - Every other weekend off. - Able to start any day during the week (M-F), given 5 days before start date for processing all pre-employment requirements. - 40-hours/week; OT available - Minimum of 2-3 weeks of on unit mentorship with a seasoned LVN
