Kerrville State Hospital - Maximum Security Unit - Psychiatric Nursing Assistant Need Location: 721 Thompson Dr. Kerrville Tx, 78028 Requirements: - Must have proven experience as a psychiatric mental health tech/aide. - Must be willing to work at Kerrville State Hospital’s maximum security unit (MSU), a maximum security mental health unit with patients that may have a dual diagnosis. - Must abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and Kerrville State Hospital. - Must abide by staffing agency and KSH’s attendance and leave policy - Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements - Must submit to HHSC required drug test (Relode provides) - Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting (Facility provides) - Must complete facility and HHSC required training License, Certification, or Registration Required: - Must be certified by the American Heart Association –BLS in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services at the Kerrville State Hospital. - Copies of CPR certifications must be kept on file with KSH’s Contracting office. - All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at the Kerrville State Hospital Selection Process: - The Staffing Agency with the selected candidates will be notified by email. - KSH’s Agency Hiring Coordinator will communicate with the agency and candidate(s) on dates and times to begin the process of on-boarding. Shift Availability: - 6:30 am – 3:00 pm – includes weekends – (27-needed) - 2:30 pm - 11:00pm – includes weekends – (31-needed) - 10:30 pm – 7:00am – includes weekends – (24-needed) *30-minute, unpaid meal break on each shift Days: Monday thru Sunday Term: Minimum of 6 months with option to extend
