Psychiatric Nursing Assistant (Direct Care position)

Overview

Please Note and advise all candidates of the following: - Waco Center for Youth is a psychiatric residential treatment facility. - We serve teenagers (ages 13 through 17) with emotional difficulties and/or behavioral problems. Waco Center for Youth is accepting submissions for the following position at our facility: - PNA-Psychiatric Nursing Assistant (Direct Care position) Duties of Direct Care PNA - Responds to crisis or psychiatric emergency situations. - Provide direct care of clients (emergency, health and personal care). - Provide therapeutic interactions with clients. - Monitor clients psychiatric symptoms or health state and documents in records as needed. - Document Clients behaviors and interactions. - Performs other duties as assigned by the Unit Manager and/or Staffing Manager. Job Requirements for all candidates: - Attends to work on a regular basis. - Must be at least 21 years of age - Must have a valid Driver’s License or valid State ID Card - Graduation from a standard senior high School or equivalent. - Does NOT have to be a CNA. - Must be able to pass CPR and TIPS (Trauma Intervention Protection Strategies) - Prefer experience in direct client care. - Basic computer skills. Here is our Timeline for hiring unless all positions are filled prior to dates listed: - Approximate start dates: 02/01/23 - Minimum 6 month contract, possibly longer, as long as there are not performance issues. Current Open Shifts: (Subject to change) - Direct Care PNA – 12 available positions - 8 positions for: 3:00pm – 11:30pm (includes unpaid 30 min lunch break) - 4 positions for: 11:15pm – 7:15pm Other: - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (Facility provides) - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (Facility provide) - COVID-19 Vaccination Card (if applicable) - Immunization Records or Titers for -- Tetanus -- Diphtheria -- Pertussis -- MMRV -- HepB -- A recent TB test with results, or we can do the TB test here upon start Recruiters: - PLEASE TRY TO COLLECT AN IMMUNIZATION RECORD FROM YOUR CANDIDATES BEFORE SUBMITTAL.
