Current CHLA NICU employee testimonial video: http://youtu.be/cgJScS9NFCs The RN II in the Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU) is a collaborative member of the patient care delivery team. Our 58-bed Level III unit provides medical and surgical care for critically-ill newborns and infants transferred from hospitals in Southern California and around the world. Innovative therapies provided to our patients include Nitric Oxide, High Frequency Ventilation, Therapeutic Hypothermia, and Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). We offer a mentorship program to all new RN IIs in the NICCU to help ease their transition to this highly critical care environment and to CHLA. NICCU RNs are offered clinical and professional growth opportunities appropriate to their skill, knowledge, and experience level. Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years Level II NICU experience; Level III experience preferred, CA RN Licensure, AHA BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, computer literacy. Bachelor's Degree required; BSN preferred.
