Overview
Job Details: • This role will function as a Patient Care Technician under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to assist in the preparation of all components used in the management and routine follow-up of home infusion patients and specialty pharmacy patients. • Assist pharmacist with patient follow-up related to refills, IV catheter care, inhalation, inotropes, specialty medication, MEDI-pack and other therapies. • Assist in medication/flush order entry. • Coordinate prior insurance authorizations and payment arrangements. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: High school diploma or GED required. A current, unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the state of practice, and pharmacy technician certification required. Experience: • Two years’ experience in a pharmacy setting preferred. Specialty pharmacy experience preferred. Must be proficient in computer skills, including MS Office. • Functional Competencies: Written and verbal communication, prioritization, attention to detail, organization, time management, follow-up, decision making, initiative.
Qualifications
- High School/GED
- Valid Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in Tennessee (TN)
