Job Details: • This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of all components used in the management of Home Infusion Therapy including IV and Injectable medications, all supplies required for the various IV access devices, and helping to coordinate all the underlying tasks required to facilitate these processes; providing information related to medications, assembling medicines for prescriptions and dispensing prescriptions to patients, customers or health professionals. • This position currently falls under the Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) vaccine mandate. If you are selected for this position, you will be required to comply with CMS requirements. (A reasonable accommodation process is available for new hires through our Human Resources department) Expectations: • Assists pharmacists and other technicians to assure that all prescriptions are filled or packaged for the correct patient with the correct medications in the correct quantities and dosage forms, including IV and injectable medications, all supplies required for the various IV access devices. • Records medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Facilitates the transition of orders from the Pharmacists to IV admixture area – i.e. Pharmaceutical Preparation; this will consist of verifying prescription orders for completing information, calculating correct amounts of drug and diluent for the IV admixture Technician’s and obtaining the correct medications and supplies for admixture. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: High school diploma or GED required. A current, unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the state of practice, and pharmacy technician certification required. Experience: • Two years’ experience in hospital IV room or home infusion required. • Must have working knowledge of computer systems, insurance and 3rd party payors, medications and medical terminology.
Qualifications

- Valid Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in Tennessee (TN)

- Hospital IV room
- Home Infusion
- Pharm Tech
