Psychiatric Nursing Assistants

Overview

The Kerrville State Hospital is accepting applications for Psychiatric Nursing Assistants (non-maximum security area) - 15 positions are available. Location: 721 Thompson Dr. Kerrville Tx, 78028 Shift Availability: - 6:30 am – 3:00 pm – includes weekends – (27-needed) - 2:30 pm - 11:00pm – includes weekends – (31-needed) - 10:30 pm – 7:00am – includes weekends – (24-needed) *30-minute, unpaid meal break on each shift Days: Monday thru Sunday Requirements: - Must have proven experience as a psychiatric mental health tech/aide. - Must be willing to work at a mental health facility with patients that may have a dual diagnosis. - Must abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and Kerrville State Hospital. - Must abide by staffing agency and Kerrville State Hospital attendance and leave policy - Must submit to HHSC required drug test - Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting - Must complete facility and HHSC required training License, Certification, or Registration Required: - Must be certified by the American Heart Association –BLS in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services at the Kerrville State Hospital. Copies of CPR certifications must be kept on file with Kerrville State Hospital. Here is our Timeline for hiring: - Approximate start date week of 5/1/23, 5/16/23, 6/1/23, 6/16/23, 7/3/23, 7/17/23 - Minimum 6 month or 1 year contract - All compliance must be met before candidate can start. No exceptions. Other: - Regular rates apply for all positions - No requested time off will be approved at this time (can be discussed) - Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification - Must have negative TB Test results within last 12 months - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (we provide) - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provide) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (facility provide)
