Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health field Tell Me About This Job: The Pediatric Trauma Program Manager (PTPM) provides facilitation and direction to the multidisciplinary pediatric trauma service line. Primary focus will be developing, implementing and monitoring systems to enhance care of the pediatric trauma patient population and their families. The Pediatric Trauma Program Manager works in close collaboration with the Trauma Program Director (TPD) and the Trauma Medical Director (TMD), effectively promoting the goals of the program, qualifying all care and system issues and optimizing patient care across the age and injury spectrum. The PTPM, under the direct supervision of the Trauma Program Director (TPD), shares 24-hour responsibility for the management of the Trauma Program. This position is involved in overall trauma program development at the regional and state level. This individual is responsible for oversight/direction of pediatric trauma related activities, educational efforts, and initiates change that optimizes pediatric trauma care as per the American College of Surgeons “Resources for the Optimal care of the Injured patients- COT”.
