Role/Title: - Manager of Client Analytics Hours: - Fulltime - 40hrs per week - Monday - Friday, Core Business Hours Location: - Remote - Hours will be in PST Time Zone Interview Process: - 2-3 week process (depending on the candidates availability) - Phone Interview (with HR) - Zoom Interview (with Senior Director of Clinical Analytics) - Zoom Interview (with VP of Analytics) - Hire! Comp Range: - $125,000 Per Year - There is no flex on compensation for this role About the Role: - This role will be managing the Analytics for the team - They will be responsible for the design, documentation, development and rollout of financial, clinical and utilization-based analyses. This includes: - Query Design and Data Preparation - Data Analysis - Visualization Design - Database Design and Creation Important to Know: - Client is NOT able to provide any Sponsorship for candidates - Candidates have been rejected in the past for not having strong SQL experience with writing queries and database design and creation - Candidates have been rejected in the past for not having strong experience working with Claims Data. Their Claims Data experience must be geared more towards population health, NOT revenue cycle management. - They NEED candidates who are strong in SQL (can create complex queries on their own) and be able to speak to that experience during an interview - Have to have knowledge in Medicaid/Medicare Claims Data Analysis for the purpose of analyzing opportunities and solving complex issues for clients. - Able to preparing data sources and datasets for access based on business need + designs, documents, develops and deploys data analyses using a variety of computing tools (not limited to: SQL, PowerBI, Python, R, SSRS, Excel, etc). - Determine credibility and usability of claims and other data prior to delivery of analytic results --- What you will do: - Provides analytical support for external client-facing deliverables and presentations, pre-sales analysis, as well as ad-hoc analytics for internal customers. Will work collaboratively with Sales, Client Account Management, Clinical Operations, Finance and other key leadership to drive strategic decision-making within the assigned client segment. Responsible for the design, documentation, development and rollout of financial, clinical and utilization-based analyses. Specializing in data analytics, the individual will use coding and development skills to design and create engaging, high-impact and innovative reports and analytics and to illustrate compelling stories. Query design and data preparation: - Defines parameters for data queries and aggregatio. - Creates queries across multiple sources of data to aggregate datasets into a single usable dataset - Defines and documents data preparation procedures - Preparing data sources and datasets for access based on business need - Designs, documents, develops and deploys data analyses using a variety of computing tools (not limited to: SQL, PowerBI, Python, R, SSRS, Excel, etc). - Determine credibility and usability of claims and other data prior to delivery of analytic results Data analysis: - Support existing client claims analysis related to network performance, benchmarking, program impact, surgical outcomes, provider programs, claims reimbursement and payment bundling, site of care, and other quality and cost savings initiatives - Collaborate with clinical departments to analyze expansion of program scopes, clinical efficacy, and other quality measures related to clinical policy within medical claims data - Development of standards for analytics to be leveraged by other department resources and improve processing - Perform quality program assessments such as HEDIS, STAR, and other quality measures - Performs ad hoc analyses that will vary in duration and complexity Visualization design: - Works closely with business users and clients to gather requirements, define and deliver effective dashboards, data visualizations, reports and other analytic products - Creates, designs and applies data and statistical analysis and visualization techniques and solutions tools to develop analytic solutions to complex business and client problems - Designs engaging and user-friendly visualizations and reports for both clients and senior leadership - Conducts regular QA reviews of existing dashboards and reports for adherence to performance and data quality standards Database design and creation - Supports development and ongoing refinement of analytical tools and resources - Conducts validation of data assets to ensure data currency and quality, working with other Client Analytics team members to make updates and corrections as needed - Works with IT and Data Engineering teams to satisfy Client Analytics data needs - Works with business users to support inter-departmental analytics partnerships - Works with Client Analytics leadership team to develop governance processes around data quality procedures What we are looking for: - Extensive knowledge of healthcare medical claims data, their attributes/fields, and billing/reimbursement methods to analyze opportunities and solve complex issues - Additional knowledge of related healthcare data sets such as medical coding, providers, member eligibility, etc. to supplement analysis - Understanding and working experience in SQL relational databases and coding - Experience in data mining, statistical analysis, and data transformation / manipulation - Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing using language understandable to management and employees - Demonstrated ability to understand complex healthcare financial, clinical, and operational issues Education, Experience and Licensure: - Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Analytics, Finance/Economics, Math/Statistics, or related field - Experience as a business/ data analyst, or any other health insurance / healthcare related environment - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.). - Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/latest and database concepts/coding

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Strong SQL relational databases and coding
    • Experience in data mining, statistical analysis, and data transformation / manipulation
    • Conducting analysis of population health claims
