The Progressive Care Unit is a 48 bed progressive care telemetry unit providing 24-hour nursing care for patients who have a high potential for becoming unstable in the critical stage of their illness and require specialized nursing care for diagnoses such as, but not limited to, cardiovascular conditions, acute and chronic renal failure, respiratory instability, gastrointestinal disorders, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, pre-and post-operative care, trauma and orthopedic conditions that require monitoring and interventions. Most patients have a secondary or potential secondary cardiac component requiring telemetry monitoring. You'll work a combination of 12-hour day and night shifts; initially you'll work 50% weekends and every other holiday, as is expected of all new employees. With added longevity, you'll be able to customize your schedule more.
