Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Overview

Location: - Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center - 902 Airport Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78405 Position: - 4 LVN positions available. - Request LVN to have at least 6 months experience. Shift: - 6am-2pm (2) - 2pm-10pm (2) - 40 hours/week - Monday thru Friday + every other Weekend off Pay: - $36-40/hr starting Salary - We can award each candidate a $1000 bonus for completing their entire 6-month contract Start date: - 9/1/23 Job Requirements for all candidates: - Attends to work on a regular basis - Must be at least 21 years of age - Must have a valid Driver’s License - Graduation from a standard senior high School or equivalent - Prefer experience in direct client care. - Basic computer skills Other: - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (facility provides) - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (facility provides) Duties of Direct Care LVN: The LVN will provide for the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals residing at the State Supported Living Center who have complex medical, mental health and/or behavioral health issues. Performs basic and advanced routine and non-routine nursing tasks to promote the health of the individuals within the assigned areas and assigned shift including medication administration, wound care, breathing treatments, collecting specimens, gastrostomy care and emergency care. Also will assist RNs with implementation of protocols, procedures and programs to improve overall health and safety of staff and individuals. Works under the limited supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Qualifications

• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Texas (TX)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) in Texas (TX)
  • Regular Driver License (DL) in Texas (TX)
• Have you had a TB Test within the past year?
