Overview

The San Angelo State Supported Living Center is accepting submissions for the following position at our facility: LVN/LPN III Location: - San Angelo State Supported Living Center - 11640 N US Hwy 87, Carlsbad, TX 76934 Current Open Shifts: LVN/LPNs – 6 available positions - 40-hours/week; No OT - Rotating Schedule - Shifts- 2p-10p Pay: - $35/hr starting Salary Licensed Vocational Nurse performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager. Duties of Agency nurse -Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection. -Performs technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations -Documents and reports pertinent observations. -Communicates orally and in writing to other team members’ pertinent information. -Documents according to facility policy. -Responds to emergency situations to ensure safety of individuals. -Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of facility. -Monitors individuals for treatments and procedures. -Provides education to individuals with specific health goals. -LVN II assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments. -Ensures that supplies are available. -Manages individual’s medical record in Electronic Health Record or paper chart. -Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements for all candidates: - Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. - Demonstrated computer & electronic health record skills preferred. - Licensed to practice as a licensed vocation nurse in the state of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact). Other: - No extra time off will be available during the holiday season including Christmas, and New Year’s. - Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification - Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (Facility provides test on date of OB) - COVID-19 Vaccination Card (if applicable, not mandatory) - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (Facility provides)
