Overview

North Texas State Hospital is requesting RNs - RNs – 5 positions at the Vernon Campus Location: - North Texas State Hospital - Vernon - 4730 College Dr, Vernon, TX 76384 Current Open Shifts: RN's, 5 available positions - Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs, evenings and nights are currently our greatest needs. - 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am - Every other weekend off. Pay: - $45-50/hr starting Salary - We can offer a $1000 bonus for completing full contract Requested Schedule: - Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs, evenings and nights are currently our greatest needs. - Every other weekend off. - Able to start any day during the week (M-F) - Give 5 days before start date for processing all pre-employment requirements. - Minimum of 2-3 weeks of on unit mentorship. Contractor shall provide the following service(s) to patients of the Facility: Nursing staff performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit Nurse Manager. Job Requirements for all RN candidates: - Must be licensed RN and able to practice in Texas - Preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse - Charge nurse or supervisory experience is preferred - Experience needs to be hospital acute care, LTC , community clinics, public health, etc. - (not Home Health or School Nurse) Other: - Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (Facility provides test on date of OB) - COVID-19 Vaccination Card (if applicable, not mandatory) - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (Facility provides)

Qualifications

Required
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas (TX)
    • American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS) in Texas (TX)
    • Regular Driver License (DL) in Texas (TX)
  • 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Skilled Nursing Facility Care
    • direct care
