Overview

CMA DESCRIPTION The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant performs clinical support procedures under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor. The Medical Assistant should reflect, through personal appearance and attitudes, the professional nature of the office. Cleanliness, neatness, ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner, a caring nature, and genuine enjoyment of patients are required personal qualities of this position. Because of the nature of the work, i.e. care of patients, emotional stability is also required. Must be aware of the need for discretion and for keeping confidential all matters relating to the practice, its employees, and patients. At least 2 years in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum, special training for Medical Assistants. - Required At least 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical setting. - Required Must maintain certification/registration as a Medical Assistant. - Required BLS Certification - Required Schedule: 8-5 M-F Possible weekend coverage
