Radiologic Tech - Special Procedures (Varied) -Contract Location: Bay City, MI DESCRIPTION Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician, performs specialized radiographic procedures. Also performs general diagnostic procedures as required. --Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring provider’s orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures. --Educates patients and families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. --Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation. --Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AHA BLS- Required Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program- Required Registered as a Radiologic Technologist- Required One year related job experience- Required CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS BLS (AHA) ABOUT THE FACILITY This is a 415-bed acute care hospital providing specialty, primary and preventative care located in Bay City, Michigan. Services include cardiovascular, neuroscience, women’s health, orthopedics, rehabilitation, home health and hospice care, EMS and oncology. The emergency department treats more than 45,000 patients a year. HOURS PER DAY 10 DURATION DESCRIPTION 13 weeks SHIFT NOTES Typically 7-5:30-It requires on call, days, afternoons, weekends, and holidays. When there are cases, the tech will be expected to stay so flexible is required. WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS Yes

Qualifications

• High School/GED
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) in Michigan (MI)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Michigan (MI)
• Have you successfully completed the Radiologic Technology program?
• Radiologic Technologist (1+ years)
