Overview

RN Level II -- Emergency Department 18 months of Pediatric experience require. The Pediatric level I Trauma center serves as a registered nurse, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. Competent in the performance of ED procedures. The Emergency Department at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a 37-bed tertiary care facility with an annual volume of nearly 80,000 visits, a dedicated Urgent care area and two Trauma bays. The patient population served ranges from neonates to adolescents with a large number of these patients having high acuity and complex medical conditions. The ED has been the 3rd Children’s Hospital in the US to receive the ENA Lantern Award for innovation, quality, excellence and healthy work environment. Minimum work experience 18 months RN experience considered with emergency department, pediatrics, or pediatric emergency department experience preferred. Required, CA RN License, CPR and PALS from AHA.
