Required
  • High School/GED
  • direct patient care (2+ years)
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS) in Texas (TX)
    • Regular Driver License (DL) in Texas (TX)
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) in Texas (TX)
    • Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas (TX)

Overview

Urgent need for RN's - please note that this is a psychiatric hospital and your candidates would be best equipped if they had some level of psychiatric experience. Will be working with Kids and Adults. Start Date: - February 16th Location: - Austin State Hospital - 4110 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78751 Current Open Shifts: - 6:45am-3:15pm (7a to 3p) or 2:45pm-11:15pm (3p to 11p) - Every other weekend off (non negotiable) More Info on Shifts: - Please verify that Candidate is available for 10 consecutive days of training, M-F, 8-5 (this is non-negotiable). - They are also interested in RNs willing to work every Saturday and Sunday. - This weekend shift could be 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 7am-11pm. - If they work the weekend schedule they can also pick up another 8 hour shift for a full 40 per week. Pay: - $50 Required skills and experience: - Must possess valid RN license - Must submit required drug test (Relode provides) - Must submit required fingerprinting (facility provides) - Must complete facility and HHSC required training (10 days - CANNOT miss) Additional job details: Responsibilities: - Provide care for patients – Manage psychiatric / medical emergency, complete nursing assessment’s for new admissions - Perform computer data entry – Receive full training - Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, ASH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.
