Registered Nurse - House Supervisor NEW GRADS ACCEPTED!!! Supervises nursing services to direct nursing to the residents care in accordance with good nursing practice and applicable State and Federal regulations. Supervises the day-to day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants and LPN’s. BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS · Must possess a current license in PA as a registered nurse · Must possess knowledge of: medical asepsis, body mechanics, personal care of residents, correct use and care of equipment, observation techniques, reporting and recording, thorough knowledge of nursing theory and it's application · Must be willing to possess knowledge of and comply with regulations, policies, procedures, contracts and philosophy of the institution · Must maintain a courteous and professional manner toward residents, visitors and co-workers and a dedication to meet the needs of the elderly · Must have awareness of cost containment, utilize time fully, and properly care for equipment · Must possess ability to accept and follow written and verbal directives · Must utilize good communication and observation skills · Exercise independent judgment and effectively deal with emergency situations GENERAL DUTIES Physician's Computer Company: EHR/EMR Administers and records medication, treatments and monitoring e.g. glucose checks, as ordered and reports and documents resident response Accurately transcribes physician's orders Completes monthly summaries as scheduled Reviews the care plan with NAs on monthly summary day and updates the care plan to reflect the resident’s current condition. Notifies the RN Supervisor immediately of a significant change in resident’s condition Reports and records changes in resident condition to the RN Supervisor Communicates resident transfers to immediate family and via email to department heads Completes transfer form for all transfers Updates care plans with clear, concise, time limited goals to reflect resident condition and directs team to implement approaches Assists physicians with rounds, examinations and treatments as needed Collects laboratory specimens e.g.: urine, cultures, stool, etc. and arranges for delivery to Hospital with accurate and complete requisitions. Documents in PCC when laboratory work is done DRESS CODE Uniforms –Any colored scrubs Shoes - clean and in good repair - no open toe sandals Hair - clean Sweaters - cardigans, vests of any color Jewelry - no large or dangling earrings or necklaces. Qualifications

Required
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Are you comfortable working night shifts?

  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) in Pennsylvania (PA)
    • Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania (PA)
  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • medical asepsis
    • body mechanics
    • nursing home
