Dental Hygienist

Overview

Dental Hygienist -Contract POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing preventive oral health education and dental hygiene services patients. Location: 505 E Alcott, Kalamazoo, MI Dress Code: Black scrubs/Top and Bottom Patient Population: All ages EMR: Dentrix JOB REQUIREMENTS --Minimum 2 years current experience required --Michigan Dental Hygiene license required at upload --Associate degree in Dental Hygiene required --Experience with Cavitron Required --Dentrix EMR Experience required --Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred --Good interpretation skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community. --Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. --Must be familiar with Microsoft office and capable of learning electronic healthcare systems software. --Previous Travel - HIGHLY PREFERRED --Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are minimum work requirements at the Family Health Center. --Must be comfortable with full-cycle care delivery: Seating to X-Rays to Cleaning Operatory --Must be comfortable working with diverse patient populations (fully insured, uninsured, physical/mental limitations, etc) SHIFT NOTES M-F, 8hrs per day *possible weekend coverage on Saturdays

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher
• 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Dental Hygienist
  • Cavitron
  • Dentrix EMR
  • full cycle care delivery
• Valid Dental Hygienist in Michigan (MI)
• Are you up to date on your Flu shot?
• Are you fully vaccinated against Covid19?
• Are you able to work all the date/shifts in the job description?
