Registered Nurse - Emergency Room LOCATION Petoskey, MI JOB TYPE Temp OPENINGS 2 START DATE 11/13/2023 DESCRIPTION Emergency Services at McLaren Northern Michigan provides a world-class facility, specially designed to offer immediate care for everything from life's bumps and bruises to life-threatening trauma situations. We have a 24/7 emergency department is both Cheboygan and Petoskey. 24-Hour Specialty Support In: Heart & Vascular Services Neurosciences Radiology Anesthesiology Surgery SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS 2 years of experience - Required Travel - Preferred Health system-wide profile standards References NOT required. A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred. Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit, it would be in the traveler’s best interest to provide a write-up of what happened for the manager's review. Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above. Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ACLS BLS (AHA) PALS TNCC STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Michigan ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Active at the time of submission HOURS PER DAY 12 DURATION DESCRIPTION 13 weeks SHIFT NOTES 36 hours per week. 7pm-7:30am WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS Every Other Weekend

Qualifications

Required
  • Associate degree or higher
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
    • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
    • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA PALS)
    • TNCC
  • Emergency Department (ED) (2+ years)
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan (MI)
