RN - Labor and Delivery - OBGYN Location: Peterborough NH JOB TYPE Perm OPENINGS 1 START DATE 11/6/2023 Job Summary: The Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics Registered Nurse prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned obstetrics patients. S/he carries out these responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. On their 8-bed LDRP unit, they deliver over 350 babies annually. Candidate will be cross trained in all aspects of obstetrical care within the Birthing Suite. You will work alongside a well established OB/GYN and pediatric group in a collaborative team environment and will assess, plan, organize, supervise, provide and evaluate nursing care utilizing the nursing process. EMR Experience a MUST! AWHONN Required 8 Bed Unit Ratio - 1:1 (active labor) 1:2/3 for Mother/Baby NO OR/C-Section knowledge required Because every birth is a unique and individual experience, our doctors, nurses and staff are here to help patients give birth in their own special way. Previous OB/L&D experience - Required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - Required Fetal Monitoring experience - Preferred NRP Certification - Required AWHONN Certification - Preferred STABLE Certification - Required BSN (or better) - Preferred Current NH RN licensure - Required CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS BLS NRP STABLE STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS New Hampshire Compact Allowed ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS NH License must be active at time of submission! SHIFT NOTES -12 hrs, nights WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS TBD

Qualifications

Required
  • Associate degree or higher
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) in New Hampshire (NH)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) in New Hampshire (NH)
    • AWHONN in New Hampshire (NH)
    • STABLE in New Hampshire (NH)
  • 4+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • OB/L&D
    • Fetal Monitoring
