Ultrasound Technologist - General LOCATION Great Barrington MA JOB TYPE Temp OPENINGS 1 DESCRIPTION Performs a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Department Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the clients in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Department Director. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and troubleshoot PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS 2+ year current Ultrasound Tech experience OB experience REQUIRED Vascular experience preferred Certification as an RVT through the ARDMS, RVS through the CCI - Preferred Meditech Expanse experience preferred Profile Requirements: Work History Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment) License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (ARRT, BLS - Facility will not pend license/certs) CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARDMS BLS (AHA) RDCS ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS RCS; CCI certification accepted HOURS PER DAY 8 DURATION DESCRIPTION 13 weeks SHIFT NOTES 8hr Days 40hr guarantee WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS None

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Ultrasound Tech
  • OB Tech
  • Vascular Ultrasound
• Associate degree or higher
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • RVS
  • CCI
