Radiation Therapist LOCATION Flint MI JOB TYPE Temp OPENINGS 2 START DATE 1/1/2024 DESCRIPTION Responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments. Perform treatment simulations, fabricates all necessary shielding blocks, and maintain accurate EMR. Prepares equipment for patient treatments performing quality control and assurance tests, ensuring proper infection control techniques, and adheres to optimal radiation safety and protection practices. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS --Successful completion of an AMA accredited course of study in Radiation Therapy Technology. --Certification as a Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT). If not registered at hire, must be within six (6) months. --Health system-wide profile standards --References NOT required. --A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred. Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit, it would be in the traveler’s best interest to provide a write-up of what happened for the manager's review. --Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above. --Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARRT HOURS PER DAY - 8 or 10 hrs (will work 40/hrs a week) DURATION DESCRIPTION 13 weeks SHIFT NOTES 7 AM to up to 7 PM, 8 or 10 hour shift, Monday through Friday. No weekend coverage WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS none

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Michigan (MI)
  • Regular Driver License (DL) in Michigan (MI)
• Radiation Therapist (1+ years)
