Overview

We are hiring contract LVNs to work M-F with every other weekend off for various schedules. Location: - Austin State Hospital - 4110 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78751 Current Open Shifts: - 6:45am - 3:15pm every other weekend off - 2:45pm - 11:15pm every other weekend off - 6:45am - 3:15pm, Saturday and Sunday (part time) **Please verify that Candidate is available for two weeks consecutive of training, M-F, 8-5 (this is non-negotiable). Pay: - $40/hr salary, non negotiable Licensed Vocational Nurse performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager. Requirements: - Must possess valid LVN license - Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements - Must submit to HHSC required drug test - Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting - Must complete facility and HHSC required training Responsibilities: - Perform computer data entry – Receive full training - Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation. - Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, ASH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives. Other: - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (facility provides) - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides) - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (facility provides)

Qualifications

Required
  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)

  • Have you had a TB Test within the past year?
