Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will use your nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow. You will conduct nursing assessments, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and provide necessary training and instruction to patients. This role requires an active RN license in MI and at least 1 year of experience. The schedule is 7AM - 7PM. Key Responsibilities ● Evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow ● Conduct nursing assessment by taking patient history and physical assessment, obtaining vital signs and other medical tests ● Collaborate with Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange for further medical treatment ● Identify equipment that needs repair and bring it to the attention of the lead clinician ● Perform occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision) ● Conduct appropriate laboratory tests and quality control procedures ● Document accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow up care arranged ● Evaluate health education/promotion needs of patients and provide necessary training and instruction ● Identify emergency situations and provide care within legal scope of practice ● Administer medications and medical treatments competently as directed by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner ● Maintain medical records using (In some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Record software) ● Maintain a clean and safe environment. Follow infection control procedures ● Maintain patient privacy and confidential patient information ● Participate in follow up phone calls and follow up patient visits ● Other duties as assigned Schedule and Shift Details ● 7AM - 7PM
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan (MI)
