Overview

Throughout the treatment process, you’ll work directly with the patient to teach them different functional tasks and exercises intended to strengthen or stretch muscles as well as alleviate pain. The responsibilities of a physical therapist include: Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms. Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing a treatment plan Teaching patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques. Providing stimulation or massage to promote healing. Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers Maintaining patient records and keeping track of goals and progress Advising the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises Our most frequent cases are Debility or De-conditioning secondary to complex medical/surgical conditions, chronic low back pain, CVA, knee pain, total joint replacement (hip, knee, shoulder), shoulder pain and complex neurological conditions (non-CVA such as MS exacerbation, Parkinson’s, etc.) Details: • Must have at least 1-year recent experience with verifiable reference • OTJ orientation • 13 Week assignment w/ potential for extension • Shift: o 32 hours (preferred) per week. The 32 hours can be flexed any Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:00 am – 3:00 pm. or o 40 hours per week, Tuesday thru Friday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm or Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Qualifications

Required
  • Valid American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS)
  • Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
  • Debility or De-conditioning secondary to complex medical/surgical conditions, chronic low back pain, (1+ years)
  • Will Need: ID, SS Card, Physical, MMR, HepB, T-Dap, Varicella, TB, Covid vaccine or Exemption.
