Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality comprehensive nursing care to meet the needs of patients/clients. You will manage and coordinate the delivery of cost-effective multidisciplinary health care services, adhering to VNS Health philosophy and standards. You will assess needs, document services, and participate in staff orientation and student programs. Your role will also involve coordinating care, overseeing/supervising care provided to patients, and ensuring safe discharge from service. You will maintain a flexible work schedule to meet client's needs and participate in all required training sessions. Key Responsibilities ● Assess the physical, social, and psychological needs of patients/clients ● Coordinate care for the multidisciplinary team ● Document services provided in accordance with regulations ● Participate in staff orientation and student programs ● Provide nursing care in accordance with policies and standards ● Transport and utilize medical equipment for patient/client care ● Follow established workflows ● Maintain productivity to meet goals ● Assume responsibility for personal professional growth ● Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned Schedule and Shift Details ● Flexible work schedule to meet client's needs Travel ● Local travel Salary Information - Base Salary - $104,868 Education Differential - Bachelors in Nursing: $1700 - Masters in Nursing, Health Care Admin, Community Health, Public Health, Nursing Education, Holistic Nursing or Case Mgmt: $1950 - PhD/Doctorate Degree in Nursing: $2200 Experience Differential - Will receive $800 per year of hands on clinical nursing experience. The cap will be at 18 years. - Ex: 1 year will receive $800, 2 years will receive $1600, 3 years will receive $2400 and so on up until 18 years. Certification Differential - $1,400 for each Nationally Recognized Clinical Certification. Employees may receive up to two certification differentials for qualifying certifications. Union Nurse Information: - All field nurses are part of the UFT union (United Federation of Teachers - Federation of Nurses Chapter). - For their dues, As per UFT contract: - 1st check of the month: 0.85% of gross earnings plus $20.25 - 2nd check of the month: 0.85% of gross earnings plus $20.25 – and if total for the month is less than $63.81 – remainder is also deducted from this check. - Each nurse must be either already part of UFT union or not part of another union -If they're a member of another union they are not eligible for this position
