Overview

Our client is seeking a full-time Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with a high degree of expertise in Internal Medicine to provide high-quality patient care in the MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center Emergency Department and inpatient hospital setting. The position involves rotating shifts at 40 hours per week in a critical access hospital with 20 swing beds and three emergency department rooms. The provider will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and utilize a telehealth system for admitting privileges and additional resources for emergency needs. Key Responsibilities ● High degree of expertise in internal medicine ● Previous employment experience in Emergency Department highly preferred ● Responsible for providing high quality patient care in the MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center Emergency Department and inpatient hospital setting ● Function independently at the highest level of practice ● Assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of Emergency Department patients ● Admission, management of care, consultation with specialists, disposition planning, transfer, and discharge ● Experience with all ages neonatal through geriatric ● Utilization of telehealth system for admitting privileges on the inpatient unit and additional needs/resources for emergency needs Schedule and Shift Details ● The position is rotating shifts at 40 hours per week. The critical access hospital contains 20 swing beds and three emergency department rooms. The swing beds accommodate acute/inpatient, skilled, observation, outpatient, and same day surgery. Average daily census is 3. Average of 150 emergency department visits per month, average surgeries are 175 per year. Staff consists of approximately 20 RNs and CNAs. Staff work closely with the multidisciplinary team, which includes pharmacy, social worker, nutrition, and PT/OT. Not accepting Locums candidates. Qualifications

Required
  • 1+ years of experience in ALL of the following:
    • Emergency Department (ED)
    • Internal Medicine
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Iowa (IA)
