Med Surg Nurse

Overview

As a Med Surg Nurse, you will provide care under general guidance, utilizing critical thinking skills and maintaining emotional stability in emergency settings. You will work 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour guarantee, and may be required to work every other weekend and holidays. Key Responsibilities ● Function independently under general guidance of the Director and follows the guidelines and protocols and/or policies and protocols specific to each unit. ● Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem solving in providing care. ● Possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. ● Maintain emotional stability in emergency settings. Schedule and Shift Details ● 12hr Nights, 36 hour guarantee, Every other weekend/Holidays required if needed

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher
• 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)
  • Medical/Surgical (MedSurg)
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts (MA)
• ALL of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
• Valid American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ARC PALS)
