Overview

Our client is seeking a full-time Hematologist Oncologist to serve as Medical Director for their Cancer Care program at St. Peter's and Samaritan Hospitals in Albany and Troy, New York. The role involves leading a team, providing comprehensive cancer care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. Compensation range: $450,000 and $600,000 per year. The base salary is guaranteed with RVU and quality incentives…in total cash the former Medical Director was on track to make $800k- some of the providers in the team in total cash earn $950k. The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Starting Bonus Relocation Allowance Key Responsibilities ● Lead a team of physicians and advanced practitioners. Access to tumor boards program and grand rounds. Treat a wide range of cancers. Strong APP support in inpatient and outpatient settings. Provide Hematology Oncology and Radiation Oncology care. Perform required procedures. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team. Schedule and Shift Details ● Clinic Mon-Fri, 40 hour work week, days. Call Rotation: 1:5. Patient Demographics: Adult only. Must be interested in providing both Oncological and Hematological care.

Qualifications

Required
  • Doctorate degree
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Board Certified internal medicine
    • Medical Doctor (MD) in New York (NY)
  • Valid Board Eligible
  • Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
    • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
  • 50/50 Hem/Onc -- must be interested in providing both Oncological and Hematological care. Are you willing?
