As an Agency Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide advanced nursing care to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues at our client's maximum security unit. Your responsibilities include performing nursing tasks, instructing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities ● Perform advanced vocational nursing work ● Provide care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues ● Collect specimens for lab work and perform health screenings ● Instruct staff on providing service and care supporting individual's medical needs ● Perform technical nursing procedures according to regulations ● Provide on-the-job training to new LVNs and direct care staff ● Monitor and assign work to psychiatric nursing assistants ● Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and provide input to healthcare team ● Assist with implementation of protocols, procedures, and programs to improve health and safety Schedule and Shift Details ● Shifts are from 3PM-11PM and 11PM-7AM What you need to know: - No requested time off will be approved at this time (can be discussed) - Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification - Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months - COVID-19 testing with negative result required (test provided) - COVID-19 Vaccination card if applicable - Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check - Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (client provides)
