Join our client's team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at the Smith Unit in Lamesa, TX. This full-time position requires an Associate degree and offers the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings providing nursing care to inmates. Key Responsibilities ● Provides nursing services, treatments, and diagnostic procedures for inmate care and safety ● Interprets physicians’ orders and administers prescribed medication ● Assists physician with sick call and applies surgical dressings and bandages ● Provides emergency first aid care and checks vital signs ● Instructs inmates on discharge planning and observes signs and symptoms during sick call ● Reports reactions to treatments and medications, maintains accurate medical records, and provides health education to inmates Schedule and Shift Details ● Full-time day shift positions from 0445-1715 with occasional overtime required.
