Overview
Our client has an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont. The ideal NNP opportunity includes responsibilities such as daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries, and stabilizing newborns for transport to adjacent NICUs. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and the location offers easy access to Charlotte and its amenities. Key Responsibilities ● This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year ● An average daily census of about 5 newborns ● 24-hour shifts: rounding on newborns in-house during the day and then take call from home ● NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested and will take call from home ● Practitioners would also stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care ● The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 Neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care at CaroMont Regional Medical Center- Gastonia, which is only 7 miles away ● Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the level III NICU in Gastonia may be possible; but would not be required, as this position is for the Level 1 nursery. ● Belmont Medical Center, is located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which has non-stop flights to over 180 destinations ● CaroMont Health has been recognized with numerous awards, including being named one of Thomson Reuters’ Top 100 Hospital ● Candidates must be NNP Board Certified (cannot accept FNP, PNP, or any other NP certifications) ● Not accepting new graduate candidates - 2+ years' experience as NNP required ● Not accepting Locums candidates Schedule and Shift Details ● Include work schedule and shift expectations.
